All workforce members who handle or have access to protected health information (PHI) are required to complete HIPAA training. This includes physicians, nurses, administrative staff, IT personnel, billing teams, and any contractor or business associate with PHI access. Our Fundamentals course is designed for general staff, while the Security Officer and Advanced Compliance tracks serve compliance leads and privacy officers.
Online training is self-paced and accessible anytime, making it ideal for distributed teams and individual learners. On-site training offers instructor-led sessions at your facility, with hands-on exercises tailored to your workflows and systems. Live webinar sessions provide a middle ground — real-time interaction with our instructors from any location. All formats lead to the same certification upon successful completion.
The HIPAA Fundamentals course is completed in approximately 4 hours. The Advanced Compliance program takes 2 full days (16 hours). The HIPAA Regulatory Officer certification is a 5-day intensive program. All certifications include a proctored examination at the end, and results are delivered within 48 hours of completion.
Yes. All of our certification programs award Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits. The Fundamentals course awards 4 CPE credits, Advanced Compliance awards 16 CPE credits, and the Regulatory Officer certification awards 40 CPE credits. These credits are recognized by major professional bodies including ISACA, (ISC)², and IAPP.
